Minett Mash-up Podcast – Season 2

It took a while, but we’re back – the Minett Mash-up podcast team are continuing their journey through the Minett region. But wait, there’s more…we now have an Instagram account! Follow us @minettmashup and check out our hashtag #minettmashup to stay up-to-date with latest news about the podcast.

Minett Mash-up is a collaborative project between the Minett UNESCO Biosphere, Industriekultur-CNCI and MUAR – Museum vun der Aarbecht and the Municipality of Kayl-Tetange.

In Season 1, we took our guests directly into nature and to places that reminded us of the region’s industrial past. We mostly recorded the podcast open air and were able to experience the unique landscape of the Minett UNESCO Biosphere, together with our guests.

We’ve just launched Season 2 – with the new episode now available to stream. For this second season, we are taking you along the Minett Trail, a 90 km hiking trail that crosses the 11 municipalities of the southern Minett region. We will be recording in the 11 “Kabaisercher” (lodgings) that have been created to allow visitors to spend the night and rest after their hike.

As per usual, we will continue to invite young guests from various backgrounds (culture, sport, music, business, research, etc.) along on our journey to explore the unique nature and outstanding industrial heritage sites that surround us. We find out more about their connection to this former steel and mining region, their experiences, as well as their work and projects.

We can’t wait to make exciting new discoveries together! If you want to find out more about the concept of our podcast, please visit our project page. You can also find all episodes to stream on our news page.
