As part of the European Heritage Days 2022, focused the theme of heritage and sustainable development, the DKollektiv organized an evening with the IK-CNCI (Centre national de la culture industrielle) and the LUCA (Luxembourg Center for Architecture) at the VEWA in Dudelange, a building has been entirely restored in a participatory process with citizens.
The evening has begun with a presentation of the Master’s projects by Anne Wies (MA architecture) and Corinne Laures (MA urban design), focused on their hometown Dudelange and how to re-purpose and re-value built industrial heritage through a “soft” renovation and sustainable development. After there was a round table discussion over a “Patt” where local residents and urban actors had the chance to exchange their ideas on this subject and the active participation in the use of the space around the VEWA.
