Created in 1989, the Fondation Bassin Minier is a public-interest foundation dedicated to promoting the cultural heritage of Luxembourg’s Minett region.
Building on the industrial, social and migration history of southern Luxembourg, the Foundation publishes books and other materials, organises conferences and offers guided visits in the Minett and the Greater Region. It also supports and develops projects in the fields of industrial heritage, culture, environment, tourism and innovation.
Through meetings, publications, research projects and networking initiatives, it helps keep the history of the Minett alive while contributing to discussions about the region’s future.
The Foundation also works closely with cultural, tourism and heritage stakeholders, fostering cooperation and promoting the region’s assets.
