Journées européennes du patrimoine | Industrial Heritage: Voices, Faces, Traces – Guided Tours – 17–18 October 2026

As part of the European Heritage Days and this year’s theme, “Heritage at Risk: Revive, Resist, Reinvent”, the CNCI, together with several partners, is organising a series of guided tours on 17 and 18 October 2026 across a number of Luxembourg’s industrial heritage sites.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover or rediscover several emblematic sites:

Saturday 17 October, 10:00–11:30 – Schungfabrik and Musée FERRUM in Kayl-Tétange
Saturday 17 October, 14:00–15:30 – Textil Musée in Larochette
Saturday 17 October, 14:30–16:00 – Naturpark Öewersauer and Musée de la Draperie in Esch-sur-Sûre
Sunday 18 October, 10:15–12:30 – National Mining Museum in Rumelange
Sunday 18 October, 14:00–16:30 – Copper Mine in Stolzembourg

Witnesses, volunteers and people actively involved in safeguarding these sites will share their memories, experiences and commitment to their preservation, transmission or redevelopment.

Through these visits and discussions, the CNCI aims to highlight the voices, faces and traces of industrial heritage preservation, while emphasising the essential role of collective engagement in passing on and reinventing this heritage.
