A new edition of our seminar series, started in 2018 under the name of “HallzWeNeed”, took place on November 17, 2023 at the “Musée national des Mines Rumelange”, around the theme of archiving.

We were honored to welcome three speakers, Corinne Schroeder, Nicky Blazejewski and Ivan Kharaba, who shared their expertise with us. Corinne Schroeder, President of the association of Luxembourg Archivists, presented the VLA (Veräin vun de Lëtzebuerger Archivisten a.s.b.l.), outlining its creation, objectives, statutes and activities. Nicky Blazejewski, head of the economic section of the ANLux national archives, followed with a general presentation of the national archives and then revealed how the economic section operates. Ivan Kharaba, PhD in contemporary history and specialist in the history of industry, presented his vision of the management of economic archives in France.

The presentations were followed by workshops dedicated to two different themes: storage issues and digitization and the communication of archives/objects. Both workshops provided an opportunity to exchange views on the problems shared by many of our partners when it comes to archiving their documentation.
