As Part of the European Heritage Days, Join the CNCI for an eXploration of an Iron Mine on Saturday, October 5, 2024

Discover or rediscover a must-see site tied to the industrial history of our region: the Hussigny-Godbrange Iron Mine.

This lively 2-hour tour includes a descent by train and van, demonstrations of mining equipment operations (loading, bolting, etc.), and even a simulated mine blast. You’ll experience the authentic atmosphere of the mine, complete with darkness, noise, and dust, as machinery operates just meters away from you.

PROGRAMME:

• 9:00 AM – Meeting point at the Bei der Giedel restaurant parking lot – Fond de Gras
• 9:15 AM – Departure by bus
• 9:30 AM – Arrival at the Hussigny-Godbrange Iron Mine, helmet and miner’s lamp pick-up
• 12:00 PM – Return by bus for lunch at the Bei der Giedel restaurant – Fond de Gras

Meal Prices (excluding drinks):

• €29 – Adult menu
• €13 – Children’s menu (up to 16 years old)

Bus transportation, entry, and guided tour are free.
Minimum age: 8 years
