Round table: Exile by Mehdi Hmili, in collaboration with the Centre national de la culture industrielle and Tarantula Distribution
The film Exile takes us into the everyday lives of steelworkers: the harshness of the job, life spent away from their families, the solidarity forged through shared danger, but also the silences imposed on them and the power dynamics weighing on those who keep the industry running. A reality that, in another part of the world, is not so far removed from Luxembourg’s own steelmaking history.
Organised in partnership with the Centre national de la culture industrielle (CNCI) and Tarantula, the screening will be followed by a discussion with Donato Rotunno (producer of the film), Anne-Catherine Richard (Director of the CNCI), Alain Guenther (former President of the ArcelorMittal Schifflange Staff Delegation) and Heidi Martins (Centre de Documentation sur les Migrations Humaines).
An evening aimed at people from the industry, past and present, as well as anyone interested in the industrial heritage and memory of our region.
