For this new episode of Minett Mash-Up, we head to the Lallengerbierg, an iconic Minett landscape where nature, industrial history and artistic creation come together.
Together with Nikki Ninja, aka Nicole Bausch, and musician Pol Belardi, the episode looks back at the creation of “Minettsdapp”, a song specially created for the Minett UNESCO Biosphere. Blending rap, regional identity and sounds recorded in former open-cast mining areas, the track offers a musical interpretation of the region.
The episode also explores the history of the Lallengerbierg, once shaped by iron ore mining, and how this former industrial landscape has now become a protected natural area, as well as a place of remembrance and inspiration.
An episode dedicated to transmission, industrial memory and new ways of telling the story of the Minett’s heritage through music.
