Workshop | Managing Volunteers

In collaboration with Agence du Bénévolat

This workshop is based on a simple idea: clear and attentive management helps mobilise volunteers in a structured, effective way that respects human dynamics.

Participants will learn how to recruit, welcome and retain volunteers by taking into account their motivations and availability. They will also learn how to clarify roles, organise tasks and create a framework that encourages engagement.

Particular attention is given to best practices in volunteer management, in order to foster a climate of trust, recognise individual contributions and support a balanced collective dynamic.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to coordinate a team of volunteers with clarity and consistency, strengthen their engagement and contribute to the success of collective projects.

Name

For more than 20 years, the Agence du Bénévolat has been promoting and supporting volunteering in Luxembourg. Since 2002, it has been guided by a simple belief: everyone can make a difference. Every day, it encourages and values volunteering in all its forms by supporting associations, raising public awareness and collaborating with committed stakeholders to build a more supportive and humane society.

Over the years, the Agency has become much more than a promoter of volunteering. It also develops innovative projects that address today’s and tomorrow’s needs, such as corporate volunteering, which enables companies to encourage their employees to engage in social initiatives, and relational volunteering, which responds to emerging societal needs. Through these initiatives, the Agency fosters connections, brings people together and strengthens social cohesion.

Convinced that engagement should be accessible to all, the Agency has also launched the platform benevolat.lu. Through this free platform, associations can publish volunteer opportunities and more easily connect with people willing to give their time, energy and skills.

Because at its core, volunteering is about encounters, exchanges and people choosing to act together to move society forward.
